About the Owner
Assistance From A Distance is owned and operated by Karen Seifert, CAP with over 25 years of administrative and project management experience.
She is a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals and current treasurer of the Nola Chapter,A member of the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, River Parish Chamber of Commerce, and Kenner Professional Business Association past secretary and newsletter publisher, as well as Business Networking Inc., (BNI), past secretary and past president.

We provide professional virtual assistance with highly-qualified administrative support by working with each of our team member's skilled strengths to provide our customers with the best administrative solutions possible. Our staff is tested to identify their strengths and provided training options to improve and learn new skills. Our History
Our company began after Hurricane Katrina in January 2006. I have a son that is mentally handicapped and after the storm he needed me to be at home with him and help him get his life back in order. With a special needs child it is always a struggle working and providing special care for that child even without a major hurricane. It is my passion to employ other people that are care givers of mentally or physically handicapped family members or have small children and need to be able to work from home We also love to employ wives of those serving in branches of the military since they may have to move around a lot and care for children on their own while their spouse is protecting our country. It gives us great pleasure to be able to provide a working environment that helps support those families.
The company was originally named Administrative Resources and Solutions with the thought that we would be the resource and solutions for small businesses' needs. Our tag line was "Providing assistance from a distance where we lower your administrative cost not your expectations". No one could remember the name; however, everyone remembered the tag line and came to know us as Assistance From A Distance and it just made good sense to change the name. We are now known as Assistance From A Distance.
